At Christ Community Church, we believe the mission of the church extends beyond our walls. We desire to share the hope of Jesus Christ, serve our community, and make disciples both locally and around the world.
Throughout the year, we have opportunities to serve and connect with our local community through various community events and partnerships. These events allow us to serve others, build relationships, and demonstrate the love of Christ in practical ways.
Whether through community celebrations, seasonal events, or other outreach opportunities, we want to be a church that is actively involved in the community around us.
Mid City Outreach is a ministry focused on serving individuals and families in central Taunton. Through partnerships with local agencies and other Christ Community Church ministries, we seek to meet practical needs while sharing the hope of the Gospel.
On the last Saturday of each month, volunteers serve at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, providing clothing, toiletries, blankets, and other essential items. We also offer encouragement and prayer and provide Bibles so that people can discover the living hope found in God’s Word.
Christ Community Church has the privilege of participating in short-term mission opportunities that allow individuals and teams to serve alongside ministry partners around the world.
These opportunities give members of our church the chance to serve others, encourage missionaries, build relationships, and share the Gospel in different cultural settings.
Christ Community Church has developed strong relationships with missionaries serving around the world. We currently support missionaries serving in more than 10 countries, including Tanzania, France, Burkina Faso, and others.
We support our missionaries both physically and spiritually as they share the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ with people around the world. We participate through financial support, intercessory prayer, special projects, and disaster relief.
Our desire is to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commission and helping make disciples of all peoples.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19–20
There are many ways to be part of what God is doing through outreach and missions at Christ Community Church. You can serve at a local outreach, participate in a mission opportunity, pray for our missionaries, or help meet practical needs in our community.
