Christ Community Church is a growing, non-denominational church serving Southeastern Massachusetts with a passion for helping people know Jesus and follow Him. We are a community of ordinary people from all walks of life who have discovered the hope and purpose found in a relationship with Christ. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, or have been following Jesus for years, you’ll find a welcoming place where you can belong, grow, and make a difference.
Everything we do is centered on the truth of God’s Word and the life-changing message of the Gospel. Through authentic worship, practical biblical teaching, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to serve, we strive to equip people to live out their faith every day. Our mission is simple: to connect people with Jesus in a life-changing way and help them become fully devoted followers of Christ.
At Christ Community Church, church is more than a Sunday service—it’s a family. We believe God has a purpose for every person, and we’re committed to creating an environment where people of every age and stage of life can experience His love, grow in their faith, and impact their communities for His glory.

Acts 2:42-47 NIV – “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching (Word) and to fellowship (koinōnia), to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common (in Christ). 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need (cared for one another). 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts (engaging in authentic life), 47 praising God (Worship) and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved (Multiplying disciples).”
Christ Community Church, first known as Faith Chapel, was formed in January 1982, meeting in the home of Warren and Mary Ellen Churchill in Easton, MA. The number of attendees quickly grew and the church moved into the Route 138 Motel in Easton. Rev. Stephen Collins was the pastor of the church at this time. Outgrowing the motel, they then moved to the Easton Grange Hall. However, accommodations at the Grange Hall were not the best, so members began to look for either land to build on or for an adequate building.
In February 1985, Faith Chapel obtained the use of the Scotland Congregational Church building in Bridgewater. Because there already was a church in Bridgewater with the name Faith Chapel, the name was changed to Christ Community Church. Two years later, in March 1987, a disastrous fire struck the Scotland Church building and CCC was forced to be on the move again – first to the chapel of Trinity Baptist Church in Brockton, and for a few summer weeks outside at Asack’s Turkey Farm in West Bridgewater. Still, the church continued to pray for a suitable building or land to build on. It was an answer to prayer when in the summer of 1987, a member of CCC had a chance meeting with a member of the East Taunton Congregational Church. This chance meeting eventually led to ETCC offering CCC full use of their church building on Middleboro Avenue in East Taunton.
Starting in the fall of 1987, CCC and ETCC, sharing the church facilities, held separate worship services, but within a few months they began to hold combined services. This eventually led to the merger of the two churches in July 1988 under the name and by-laws of Christ Community Church.
